I found a tutorial online about how to make really nice looking sunburst rays in Illustrator, and I used it to make the Bitch Busters Go logo. Then I decided to use it to make a dramatic picture of Anna, revealing the logo Superman-style, taking the advice from the "Common Mistakes in Digital Art" thing here.
Small file size, overblending, and lazy, lazy reliance on special brushes are my three worst offenses, so I tried to go out of my way to not do that here. Started with a file size almost double what I normally use, did my best to use some color theory on the shading (I am complete rubbish at shading and I only improve through dogged practice and long periods of time spent examining other people's work/the real world), and only used the default brush, changing the opacity and flow as I needed to. (Though I did use the vector plane tool to make the building in the background, since I couldn't get my lines as straight as I wanted them on that part.)
This is not perfect (how do I anatomy?!), but I'm much more proud of it than other things I've done in less time with much less effort.
